Gail is a Civil Engineer from Universidad de Chile with a Applied Soil Mechanics diploma at the same university. She has over 13 years of experience working in Chile and the United Kingdom, for mining and oil&gas projects in Southamerica, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Her experience covers both technical and project management and coordination. She has lead, managed and coordinated multidisciplinary teams, accompanied clients when interacting with authorities during the process of permits, participated in audits, design, tracking and monitoring of tailings storage facilities retaining dams and waste dumps; she has participated of Heap Leach operational audits and growth, developed and coordinated phreatic level and drainage studies, liquefaction and CPT analyses. Gail has worked for consulting companies Skava S.A. and Golder Associates S.A. in Chile and the UK.

Civil Engineer and MSc in Geotechnical Engineering of Universidad de Chile. He has over 17 years of experience working in Chile and Australia for large mining earthworks projects such as waste dumps, heap leach and tailings management facilities, also taking care of process plant foundations and slope stability. Emilio has worked in projects located in America, Oceania, Asia and Africa, building both his technical and management experience. During the past few years Emilio has specialized in projects of Engineering of Record for tailings management facilities, acting as project manager and/or Senior Engineer. He has worked for consulting companies Ausenco, Arcadis, Golder Associates, Wood (Amec) and for the Universidad de Chile’s Research and Development Centre founded in 1898 (IDIEM).

Civil Engineer from Universidad de Chile with a Applied Soil Mechanics diploma at the same university. She has over 13 years of experience in the development of geotechnical research projects for the Mining Industry, performing as technical leader and on the management and coordination of Feseability and Detailed Engineering, as well as Engineering of Record (EOR), construction and operation. At the beginning of her professional career, she worked as a Civil Engineering on Port works, then she performed as a Geotechnical Engineering at the Geotechnical Laboratory IDIEM. Later on she specialized on the mining consultancy at Golder Associates, working as part of Mine Waste group for 10 years, carrying out geotechnical studies, design, operation support and QAQC for tailings embankments, heap leach pads and its secondary structures. She has experience on project management and technical leadership.

Civil Engineer from the Universidad de Chile, with a M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, NY, USA. He is a specialist in Geotechnical Engineering, with more than 20 years of experience as a consultant and academic in Canada, USA and Chile. He has participated in infrastructure development and analysis projects for the mining, civil and power generation industries in Chile, Peru, Argentina, Colombia, United States, South Africa and Portugal, as an independent consultant and working for the consulting firms Golder Associates in Chile and Canada, Arcadis and CMGI. Javier is also a specialist in field investigations, analysis and interpretation of laboratory tests, as well as design and stability analysis of geotechnical facilities, especially for the mining industry.

Civil Geotechnical Engineer with a degree on Soils Mechanics from the Universidad de Chile. He has over 13 years of experience in the development of geotechnical investigation and design projects for the mining and civil industry. He has performed as a project engineer and field and technical leader on projects such as the GISTM implementation, tailings dam design, slope stability and geotechnical field campaigns, where here carried out a shear vane test at high shear wave velocities alongside with a multidisciplinary team. Over the last few years he has worked as a field and office team leader, in addition to Engineering of Record (EOR). During his early career, he was part of the Material Investigation Institute from the Universidad de Chile (IDIEM), then worked in Arcadis, from where he joined the Nava team.

Civil Engineer with a master’s degree (MEngSc) in Geotechnical Engineering and Engineering Geology at University of New South Wales, Australia. She has over 10 years of professional experience working as a Geotechnical Engineer in mining and civil infrastructure projects in Chile and Australia. Valentina has worked in designs of tailing dams, waste dumps, stockpiles, storage embankments, shallow and pile foundations, retaining walls and working platforms for piling rigs, cranes and trucks; including geotechnical site investigation, analysis and reporting. She has also developed practical skills related to site investigation and construction supervision/support, including geophysical techniques for site characterization, supervision of boreholes, test pits, CPT, bored/CFA piles and sheet piles.
